Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As we enter into 2011, I would like to take this opportunity to announce to each of you that I will be running in the upcoming Republican Primary in May to represent Fort Wayne’s 1st District on City Council. I will be announcing this exciting news to the public on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Republican Headquarters at 135 West Main St at 11:30am.
As a native and advocate of Fort Wayne, I am passionate and dedicated to making my lifelong hometown a safe and prosperous place for our children to live. I will work to accomplish this by making decisions to protect property values, increase job opportunities, protect existing businesses and support new businesses, and assure growth in our community. I am confident that I can make a tremendous difference in our community by using my vast experience, which includes terms as St. Joe Township Trustee and Mayor’s Advocate, to successfully serve the needs of the citizens and local business owners and to work effectively with partnership leaders and the various departments of the City of Fort Wayne. Although I will be a representative of the 1st District (see a map on my website http://www.kennicolet.com/), I will assure you that I will be a decision-maker and an advocate for the entire City of Fort Wayne.
As you may know, a great deal of funding, marketing, collaboration, time, and a lot of energy are needed to run a successful grassroots campaign. Your financial support is extremely important in helping me continue to serve our community and the citizens of Fort Wayne. However, volunteering your time would also be appreciated.
